DLV 2008 dates:
I hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th holiday, and no, there wasn't
an Org mailing last week. The Org mailing will be sent out every one to
two weeks, depending on the need.
Since the time this group selected the dates of DLV 2008, there has been
only one objection. It seems the dates of April 21-26 conflict with a
Laughlin event. This should only affect a few of our attendees, and any
other dates for DLV week may conflict with large conventions and/or
special days (Easter and Mothers Day).
So, unless a major obstacle becomes apparent prior to midnight this
Saturday night, the dates for DLV 2008 will be April 21-26.

In past DLVs, you have sponsored some wonderful side trips and this
sounds like a very good one. I've always wondered what happened to
the old neons and would like to see them once again, even without the
hotels behind them. Sign me up.:)
Las Vegas has great history and a plethora of venues and activities
that we have not taken advantage of during DLV. Let's explore more
ideas for new places and things for this and future DLV activities.
All ideas for different activities will be accepted for discussion.
Even if you can't be, or are hesitant to be the primary coordinator,
if it's a good idea, someone might want to pick it up and run with it.
