Vote:

Two weeks ago, we started a vote to determine voting privileges
for the Org group. The vote was to determine whether the voting
privileges would be open to those who have coordinated, or assisted
in coordinating an activity for either the past year, or for the
past two years.

The results are three to one in favor of the past two years.

As of now, the voting privileges for Org is only for those who
have attended at least one DLV in the past two years, and have
coordinated/assisted an activity during the past two years.

Thanks to all who voted.

DLV 2008:

It would be nice to get a jump start on DLV 2008 by looking at some
dates.

We need to consider some of the special dates of Mothers Day and
Easter which tend to dictate our schedule, along with the NAB and
N+I conventions.

Mothers Day 2008 is May 11. Easter (Western) is March 23.

Easter (Orthodox) is April 27.

The NAB convention is April 14-17.

The N+I convention is April 27 - May 2.

For 2008, it appears to be a window that fits our needs. The week
of Monday, April 20 through Saturday 26 is between the NAB and N+I
conventions and does not conflict with Mothers Day or Easter.

Would anyone like to propose or nominate the future dates of DLV 2008?

:)
