We missed you this year, but we did toast you, Tootsie, and others
during the Welcome Celebration.

On the subject of votes for Org members, I submit the following.

During this past year, we had several people step up and volunteer
to lead activities as either a fill-in, an assistant, and/or a
primary coordinator. We even had one person take charge of an
activity when the coordinator did not show at the appointed
assembly point.

In the past, all members of Org could cast a vote, whether they
coordinated an activity or not. Several members of Org have
suggested that we limit the voting privilege to only those
individuals who coordinate activities, whether major or minor,
and whether a primary, assistant, or fill-in. These are the
people that make DLV work. It seems very unfair to those who do
the work for the success of DLV to have the same vote as those
who decline to participate in the "nuts and bolts" operation of
this event.

However, your point about voting to those who only attended the
prior year is well taken.

At this time, I'm asking for a vote from those who have coordinated
an activity, assisted in one, or acted in a capacity that enhanced
DLV during the past two years. The latter capacity are the event
pins, the DLV store, and registration.

The subject of the vote is whether it's open to those who attended
and coordinated the prior year only, or attended and coordinated at
least one year out of the past two years.

To cast your vote, please reply to this mailing with either a 1
(year) or 2 (years). The ballot box will be open for two weeks,
and the results will be posted in the Org mailing two weeks from
now.

There were a few of our people that reported became ill on Tuesday.
However, in all fairness, it may not have been the food.

Several factors need to be addressed when the topic of food
poisoning is brought up. I am not a doctor nor food handling
expert, but it does seem logical that if it were a specific
entre', more than a few would have become affected. This could
have also come from something other than food, such as a bad mix
in a drink, or an allergic reaction to something other than the
food.

I'm not defending Suede, but are there others who became ill on
Monday night / Tuesday morning?

Comments please?
