Well, I just did the math, and it would cost me a kilobuck to stay at
the Sahara for the currently-scheduled DLV week. I can't afford that.

We can expect all other decent Strip properties to be just as bad.

That means I would have to stay downtown or far off strip, assuming
those are affordable. That would be do-able but not as enjoyable.

Now if I'm on the brink of not being able to afford or enjoy DLV, I'm
sure a good percentage of our potential attendees would be put off (or
given a good excuse) when confronted with the sticker shock of what are
normally reasonably priced properties. :(

Probably not a major consideration for the show itself, but a secondary
consideration for me. If I don't attend N+I then I probably will not
be able to take off that week since somebody else from the department
will be attending it. I attended last year, so if anybody else raises
their hand this year, they get it.
