Survey:

All of the changes and additions are now in the survey and it's ready to
go. If anybody would like to take it "for real" this time it's at:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlv2003/dlv2003survey.html

I'm hoping we will get a very good response rate. Last year about half
of those present took the survey, and I would like to see at least that
good a response rate this time.

In fairness to all, most of the people present dressed nicely. In the
photos that came in, the examples of appropriate dress overshadowed
those of inappropriate dress overwhelmingly, but unfortunately the few
bad examples will attract a disproportionite share of attention.

I do think we need to continue this topic and get input from as many of
you as possible. I've noticed several of you are conspicuously silent on
this issue. Remember, it's ok to agree to disagree, and that all
viewpoints are valid and welcome.

I agree that there are some circumstances where cancelling without
notice may have to be done. I always want to leave the door open for
those who have no-showed or bailed in the past to join us in the future.

I also think that we will be able to predict next year who will most
likely show and most likely not show. We can use these in adjusting our
headcount projections that we need for reserving seats, limos, tickets,
etc.

Our vendors seem to be quite flexible. Matt at David Saxe (Showgirls Of
Magic) was very cool as to not knowing the final headcount until just
before showtime. The limo company seemed to be fine adding or dropping
cars as needed, and both Sasha's and Carluccio's were fine with only an
approximate headcount. I'm sure they deal with other groups that have
approximate headcounts regularly.

Thanks, Kate. I'm forwarding this to the discussion list as well.

Survey:

>'Did you personally have any public restroom issues while attending DLV

Let me add an "Other hotel, please specify" to those items and another
question prior to the existing restroom one.

After those changes, let's let the survey go out as is unless there are
overwhelming needs to make additional changes.

Thanks to everybody who helped to test this.
