Org List:

This is the DLV Organizational List (dlvorg@geekbabe.com) Replies to this
message will be forwarded to the DLV ORG list and not the main DLV list.

A couple loose ends:

I have not received any feedback on my draft response regarding the
High Heel Boys issue. Unless I hear anything, it goes out tonite.

Densie/Tony? Did you decide a day for boating? Do we wanna go with
Wednesday as a second track option? Friday afternoon is also open, but
I'm assuming both of you wanna do golf that morning, and having boating
that afternoon makes it tight.

Speaking of Friday. Do we want to have anything for the afternoon?
Comments on this?

This Friday:

As I said in a brief note yesterday, I will be in Las Vegas this
Thursday and Friday, and I've made arrangements to stay over Friday
night.

Leah suggested Sasha's for dinner Friday evening, and since we got such
rave reviews a few mailings back, I'm sure that will be fine for
everybody.

Let's meet at Sasha's at 7:30pm this Friday evening, have dinner, and
maybe a drink there, maybe wander someplace else for drinks if the mood
is there.

Sasha's is (from what they tell me, I've never been there) on Naples
just off Paradise, right by the Double Down, and down the strip mall
from Milano's and Get Booked, across the street from FreeZone. I'm sure
all of you know at least one of them.

Anyway, I'm assuming we won't need a reservation (crossing fingers) so
just show up at 7:30. I'll (try to) be there by that time.

If anybody is in contact with other local people who are not on this
list, feel free to invite them along. I'll send out a brief note in the
main DLV list on Wednesday, but without time and location, asking
anybody interested to write me.

Uh, are you feeling ok, Tina? :) :) :)

LOL ... I won't rub in the comment I made on the other item here.

Just remember the old saying ...

Thirty days has September,
April, June, and Montana.
All the rest have cold weather,
Except in summer which doesn't happen very often. :) :)

ObTrivia: Who said the above lines? Drink on me if you get it correct.

I don't know. Most of the conversation on the general list has to do
with things such as activities, planning, dress, etc.

>(Sign up numbers would seem to indicate yes, but I was just wondering
>if we've saved too much good stuff for the org list.)

Well, I certainly would not wanna move the High Heel Boys thread over
to the general list. <vbfg>

>Would a general list reader know about Galiano?

Oh, I'm sure most of the readers there know what a Harvey Wallbanger and
a Golden Cadillac are. :)

>Should we move some of our best gossip
>to the main list for this last month? Just a thought.

Uh, I dunno, somebody has to write it and send it in. :)

Seriously, there are some very amusing items contained within the
history and lore of DLV, from Margeth's infamous 7-11 incident, to the
Galiano {sic} story, the Delmar, Lester The Molester ... Some people
might see these as inside jokes, but if they have the right "spin" on
them, I think they could be entertaining to the new people.

If you (or anybody) wants to write up maybe a gossipy thing, send it in.
We can use it when there's a lull in the traffic. I think we're probably
gonna go to twice a week now, and the mid-week mailing is already up to
about 600 lines, and that's with out most boilerplate. However, I'm sure
there will be at least one slow period between now and DLV.

I would suggest that you make the decision, even if it is an arbitrary
one, prior to taking any headcounts.

Knowing the people in our community as I do, they are not gonna raise
their hand unless they know how much it costs.

If you want input as far as what people would prefer, I suggest two
options:

1. Discuss it briefly here. I'm sure you would get enough feedback to
firm up any decision.

2. Pose the question to the main list in this coming Wednesday's
mailing.

If I were doing this, I would make the decision based on feedback from
this group, and avoid the complexity and delay of opening it up to the
300+ people on the general list for discussion.

Whatever you do, please don't delay, as we're now sitting one month out
from DLV and we really need to firm up any plans.

One thing I don't understand, Tina might be able to clear this up, did
we have the 6 passenger vehicle last year, or the 8 passenger vehicle? I
seem to remember 7 as the limit on the number of people last year, and
IIRC, it would have been crowded with 8 in there. Tina?

Nope, anybody who shows up at Gallagher's around 6:00pm on April 31 gets
dinner on me. :) :) :)

No, we don't have a dinner scheduled on April 31. In fact, we don't have
ANY activities scheduled on April 31.

However {preparing to duck and run} it looks like we may have started
Go Blonde Night about a month too early. :) :) {Ducking, running, and
hiding.} :) :)

Ok, I'll put that in the notes, and also state that the location will

Ok, I'll get those in the notes. I'll also add to the headcount screen
that this is a commitment and cancellations must be received prior to
