Thursday and Saturday show swap:
Here's part of a conversation Tina and I had last night via e-mail, I
would like to move that here and get everybody in the loop. I've edited
a bit for clarity.
It involves flip-flopping the proposed shows and days, using the ease of
getting good/together seats for La Cage and the hassle of doing such for
LaFemme to give us a greater turnout at the Saturday activity.
I started using the term "volunteer" and Tina used the term "hostess",
which are synonymous here. I changed my terminology in my latest notes
for clarity.

I would say more so, since it's less of a hassle to simply give $$$ to
the hostess than it is to write a check, find a stamp, send it off,
etc. Remember we had multiple people as about extra tickets for Folies
last year.
Those who wanna pay by credit card can go along with the hostess if they
want to.

Yes, I agree. It's about as convenient as I can think of.

Off hand I would say the 8:00 show. It would get out about 9:30 with a
limo pickup between 10:00 and 10:15 or so, realistically. That would
wind up the limo tour about 1:15 am or so. Limo could drop off at a
club, or at hotels.
I see this proposal as optimizing the turnout for Saturday (and for
Thursday, actually) plus simplifying the legwork for the hostess.
Comments about this, gang? Does anybody see any downside to moving
La Cage to Saturday and LaFemme to Thursday?

For those listening in, Cat was one of those who was singled out for a
fine-tooth-comb inspection at the airport. She told me the story, which
is not at all traumatic, even humorous, and I've asked her to summarize

their pantyhose anticipating such a thing.

It's not that I or somebody else can't, nobody wants to. I spend a good
portion of my day on the phone, and most of my day supporting phone

If I may digress for a few minutes here, we might wanna take another look
at this and get some comments from everybody reading this ...
When this subject first came up, I believe it was back in 1998 when we
were much smaller. As today, the communication was done mostly by an
e-mail list. It was agreed that phone and snailmail were things we were
not equipped to do, and that anybody who was *really* serious about
attending could in one way or another get e-mail.
Last year when we had somebody without Internet/e-mail, I suggested a
Hotmail/Yahoo/whatever account and a public terminal at Kinkos. This
actually worked out quite well.

Yes, over 50 signed up so far. Gonna be a very good crowd! Until just
recently it was almost all returnees who registered, but we're seeing
several newcomers now, including a group from Canada and another group
from the SF Bay area.

Hmmmm ... Looks like it's better to go with multiple 6 passenger limos
