Org List:

This is the DLV Organizational List (dlvorg@geekbabe.com) Replies to this
message will be forwarded to the DLV ORG list and not the main DLV list.

Loose ends:

Here are some various items that need attention. We're under the 100 day
mark and should tie up these ASAP.

1. Tuesday evening Pre-DLV get-together. We've had a number of places
mentioned as possibilities, such as the Eagle, Flex, Backdoor.

Could those of you who have visited these places make suggestions,
keeping in mind such things as noise/music level, location, etc.

This will most likely be our smallest bar crowd, so a new and unfamiliar
place will probably be ok.

2. Wednesday dinner (?) and welcome gathering.

Leah, any word on if the Hamburger Mary's will be good for either or
both of these? This won't be a huge crowd. Larger than Tuesday, but
smaller than Friday.

3. Friday morning golf. Mindy, have you decided a location yet? Do we
want to get the DLVGOLF mailing list started?

4. Saturday evening show. This is a big loose end, and we need to get
going on it. We need to make a decision on which show it's gonna be
and we need to decide the person or persons who will be in charge of
coordinating it. I know LaFemme has been mentioned as a possibility.

5. Sunday side trip. We have Mt Charleston penciled in, but I'm thinking
Valley Of Fire might get a better turnout. This is an easy drive, taking
only a few hours max. There are other scenic spots as well. Comments?

6. Sunday evening Farewell Get-together. We need a location. Same
criteria as for Pre and Welcome. Friendly and not too loud.

7. Air tours. Densie, Gina? What days/times work for you? I'm sure
Densie wants to do golf on Friday morning. Thursday seems open, ditto
for Sat. morning, but I dunno if our people will be alive by noon.

Bar and various stuff:

>well the best thing i can ad is a t-girl (with very little public
>experience) just left tonight. she stayed at the boardwalk (i got her
>a comp upgrade on her room but dont plan on that for diva *LOL*).

>because of my positive attitude about the casino she ventured out alone
>to the casino in full dress several times and was pleased that she was
>treated well every time.

>also i had a fantasy wedding thing going on and did a display walk of
>the casino about 10 pm and actually got applase a couple of time *g*.
>of course is helped to have a mini stude (5'7") escorte in a tux. and
>i was kind only 3 inch heels. the people for the wedding thing stayed
>at the monte carlo and so we spent a lot of time there and no problems
>at all.. and we couldnt run and hide as one of the girls is in a wheel
>chair. agian nothing but the best treatment..

>on the subject of texas eagles.. was there again tonight and the owner
>has contacted me.. they would love to have us any night.. if we go
>there other then an underwear night we can even get the overflow bar
>area at no charge (they expect a modest bar spending thing) and i
>thought (hmm diva girls = modest??? NOT) well when it comes to booze
>anyway.. i know the rumors about sticky floors.. well not true,,, most
>of the time.. *LOL* its a dive but friendly and affordable and safe..
>i have been there several times in both modes the last few weeks and
>always treated well..

Questions:

1. Where exactly is this located?

2. What is the music/noise level?

3. I assume there will not be a major crowd on Tuesday, am I correct?

I see this as a candidate for our Tuesday evening Pre-DLV thing.

Comments?

>(oh word of warning.. avoid john the ex horse trainer from jersey).

Ok, I will. :)

Stupf:

>>Ladies (gentlemen) does this sound like a possibility for a Welcome to
>>DLV meal?

>It sounds Divine to me...I could never resist a barburger...but do they
>have enough room for us all? That was the problem we've had at
>Goodtimes.

Unless the place is REALLY small, I doubt if we will overwhelm them. We
won't have our weekenders yet, this being Wednesday, or the first full
day of DLV. I expect we will get about the same numbers as we got
Wednesday last year at Milano's.

>>>I will also check into something I heard about FreeZone having a
>>>Tuesday "Ladies Night". I am not sure what that means
>>>specifically....i.e. lesbians, TG, or both.

>I'm sure they will be just as confused when/if our group walks through
>the door.

LOL! :)

>>>So, two new possbilities to hang out at this point. Going to
>>>someplace called "the Eagle" <never heard of it> on Tues. night.

>There's a place called Stonewall Eagle in Tucson that a former friend
>invited me to, with the caveat that it was a great place to go and I
>just had to try it (I've learned to accept that as a warning sign,
>where bars are concerned).

>After being told to leave our coats in our cars, we went in and sat at
>the bar. Two T's came in, one with a fur thing on (I guess they didn't
>make her leave it in the car because she wasn't wearing anything else)
>and the other looking like a football player, with the shoulder pads
>and all, wearing a dress that was about ten sizes too small. The furry
>one asked me if I would get up and give "Foo-Foo" my seat.

Uh ... ???

>Foo-Foo? It was all I could do to keep from spewing a mouthful of 7&7
>across the bar. Maybe I was supposed to fall off my chair laughing so
>that Foo-Foo could grab it. Anyway, I kept my seat, but I haven't been
>back there since, and I guess I've learned to pay closer attention to
>how my clothes hang.

>>I dunno, I was kinda thinking of wearing a bra on the outside, like
>>they did in the Playtex commercials when I was a kid. :)

>Or like the morning after a sorority party. I've kept myself from
>making that mistake, no matter how much booze and dope I do, by not
>wearing a bra. I still have this problem with panties, though...

Well, you're lucky in that your boobs don't fall to the floor,
literally, when you take your bra off. :) :)

>>>being uncomfortable. From my own perspective.....I have worn a wig
>>>with a damp cap and it dried very quickly once on.....maybe body heat?

>What is a damp cap? Is that one of those things that the guys in
>school used to wear over their afros? I always thought they looked
>kind of silly, especially when white guys wore them.

>>>As previously mentioned ..... she will also accept wigs shipped to her
>>>ahead of time and will have them ready for first day of Diva.......the
>>>senders just need to include a picture of how they want it styled.

>...or you can just check the box marked "Walter Matthau", and she'll
>know exactly what you want.

OOOoooohhhhh. Meow! :) :) :)
