Final dlv2k mailing:

This will be the final mailing on the dlv2k list. All future material
will be directed to one of the following lists:

dlv -- This will be the main DLV list. Everybody now subscribed to the
dlv2k list will be subscribed to this one. Traffic will be very
low on this list until the first of the year or so.

dlvorg -- This will be the DLV organizational list, for those who want
take a more active part in organizing and planning the next DLV.
It's open to everybody here, but I'm only initially putting the
volunteers and a few who have been very active on it. To
subscribe, send email to: dlv@geekbabe.com and say you want to
be on the list. We already have a few items for this list, and
they will be sent out when the list is tested and stable.

Both new lists will be tested (you will get a brief test message) in a
few days. If you don't receive this/these by the end of this week,
please let me know.

Any further items coming in to dlv2k or dlv2000 will be redirected to
the dlvorg list for now.

Note on dlvorg: I did a very rough selection of who I thought would be
interested in participating in this list. I cut down the main list of
over 100 to 10 or so. Please don't feel offended if you were left out
as I don't recognize many of your e-mail addresses on sight. If you
do not receive the dlvorg test message at the same time, or soon after
you receive the dlv test message, please write (just hit return to any
of the DLV messages) and say you want to be in on it.

Freezone:

>As always, very informative and helpful.

Thank you :)

>I have to disagree about FreeZone.

Well, we may have to agree to disagree on this item.

>I have always been treated well
>there. I have used the ladies room without any problems.

And I have to say the same. I've always been treated well there.

I {think I} used the ladies room on Friday of DLV before we went across
the street to eat. I don't remember for sure, and if I did, I didn't stop
to figure out which restroom I should use. :)

I don't remember if there was a guard on duty then or not. I wasn't
exactly checking for one.

>It may be
>that the two girls who had a bad experience were victims of a
>intolerant customer.

I think it's more like an intolerant owner or manager or security guard.

Here's the blow-by-blow the way I saw and heard it. If anybody thinks this
is wrong or has something to add, chime right in, please.

Last December I was out in Las Vegas on business and I met with several
of the local ladies one night. They brought up the fact that people they
knew had been hassled (by security, iirc) for using the ladies room at
Freezone. I remarked that I had been there several times, used the ladies
room, and had never been hassled, but they said that this was apparently
their policy.

Then, at DLV this year, one of our people was seen either entering or
leaving the ladies room and was confronted by the security goon and told
she would be "86'd" if she did it again.

The security guard then proceeded to seek out others who appeared to be
transgendered and warned all of them that if they used the ladies room,
they too would be "86'd".

Ladies, we don't need that crap, period!

In defense of DLV:

>One more thing:)

>The reason DLV is so much nicer than SC or similar events where you are
>forced to pay a large sum to attend and it is structured, is that DLV is
>casual and provides lots of opportunities to meet other girls and go
>different places dressed.

>I really think that's what it's all about. For many girls it is such a
>relief to know there are so many others just like them. And, discovering
>that going out in public dressed is not really all that traumatic.

>I go to Vegas several times a year on my own. I go everywhere dressed,
>casinos, movies, dining, etc. I always feel comfortable being out in
>Vegas.

I agree with you there. DLV is a real-world experience that the mainline
t* conventions could never make happen, and Las Vegas is one of the best
places, if not >>THE<< best for it.

Breast forms:

>I am not quite ready to go out in public, but even though my heart is
>there, I am too shy. I would however like to start something to help
>bring about a better physical expression of my inner female self.

>Could anyone help me find a good non surgical way to enhance breast
>size?

You will most likely get more of a variety of responses by posting this
on one of the general-interest t* lists such as CDLIST (mail to
cdlist@ivgate.omahug.org to subscribe) or one of the newsgroups such
as alt.fashion.crossdressing, but ...

ObDLV: One of our recommended vendors sells the medical-grade forms,
both (relatively) inexpensive and those not so inexpensive. :)

If you want a referral, write me (annie@annie.net) and I'll get you
contact information.

If you don't wanna spend that much, and you're handy with craft stuff
and kitchen chemistry, try http://www.geekbabe.com/annie/forms.html
One person I turned onto this refers to this as "the next best thing
to having them." :)

There are also clinical-grade hormones, and, of course, (commence
endless-loop debate) the "candy hormones" sold at health food stores.

Hope this helps you get started.
