>Well organized Pleasure to look at.
Uh, apology accepted but it's not really necessary. :)
Glad you like them, anyway. Those pics are about half mine, with the
other half coming in from various others. (Thanks again, everybody!)
>It looks like you got at least one of everyone in those.
Actually, there are a handful who were left out. One who only showed up
one night left before I could get any photo ops, and a few requested
they not be posted on the web. If you noticed some tight cropping in a
couple of them, that's what it was.
And yes, I'm in a number of them, if you look closely. :)
>I really like the one of everyone sitting with the names included.
That was a fantastic idea. Thanks again to {whoever suggested it}.
It was done on the spur of the moment.
>And the Cost page, very touching. Thank You!
Thank YOU! :) I think the world of the DLV people! Fantastic group.
Everybody gets along, and still not a single jerk among us! Very
unusual to find a group like this!

I just looked over the address list and that person's address was not
obvious to me, so I'll send this out. I did give her your e-mail
address on Tuesday, but it was in a bar on a cocktail napkin, iirc,
and she may have lost it.
Anyway, if she is listening in, please respond to this and I'll forward
it to Roselinn.

That is a good price, especially on the weekends. I take it there were
no hassles or incidents there, correct?

I will say that if you're looking for another thing like DLV, SC and
FH will not be one of them.

... And that's why we keep doing it this way. The overwhelming majority
wants to keep it informal, and not let it morph into yet another clone
of the major t* conventions.

Same here, although you can enjoy life while you wait. :)

The smaller places and the motels do have that advantage. I miss the old
motor inn rooms at Stardust for that very reason. Just walk outside and
the car is right there.
>It's cheaper too, leaving more money

Now I dunno. I was paying only $39.00 for the weekdays this trip, and
that was for a very nice room. I think it's kind of a tossup as to
whether the casino hotels or the independent places are actually less
expensive to the guest.
Yes, I agree many of the so-called classy Strip joints are now up into
three figures for rooms. There are, however, many very good prices for
Strip and near-Strip hotels if you look around. If the place is one of
the newest and/or one of the major "theme" places, it seems to be much
higher than the legacy Strip joints, but not necessarily better in terms
of accommodations and service.

The one thing that consistently seems to happen at DLV is people
underestimate the time it takes to get ready and get somewhere. We've
had people be late and miss things again this year. I keep telling
everybody to please allow much more time than you think is necessary,
but we've run into time crunches every year. I don't know what we can
do but emphasize the necessity of planning for extra time.

Very true. It's no big deal if you're fashionably late to something like
the welcome get-together at Goodtimes. However, shows and such always
start on time, so ...

I did receive a number of phone calls as to just that. Some people had
trouble finding some places (LV Lounge seemed like the only major
problem here) and others just wanted to confirm that they were heading
to the correct place and people would indeed be there.
