I'm looking forward to this too.

Possible event problem:
Unfortunately, due to a family emergency, the person who had volunteered
to coordinate the Friday evening group dinner at Freezone MAY or MAY NOT
be able to do that. We will not know this until Wednesday or so of DLV
week.
Soooooo, we have a number of options, including:
1. Somebody else stepping forward and "adopting" this function. {HINT!}
(Either at Freezone or an alternate location of your choice.) If you
wish to do this {HINT!}, simply hit REPLY {HINT!}, and say you will be
willing to do so. {HINT!} :)
2. Simply agreeing to meet at Freezone, taking whatever tables are
available, as it should not be too crowded at 5:00 that evening, and
ordering off the menu.
3. Deciding on any of several other places to meet and eat. Las Vegas
has no shortage of places to find food.

I've been told their brunch is very good.

I don't ever remember Keys being closed, period.

I've been there on Monday nites, always open, and I took a friend there
on Tuesday last December, and they had a show scheduled later, but we
wandered on to other places before it started.

And that's more or less what I always remember about Keys.

If I may make some comments here ... First I would like to remind
everybody that the items on our schedule are not requirements, but
suggestions for things to do as a group. Without these, we would spend
more time discussing what to do, than we would doing it. These items are
suggested by those who have already done them, and think they would be
things the group would like.
As our group gets larger, we do have to formalize our process of
planning and scheduling. Discussion on what to do and when to do it
has been going on almost a year. It's time to set things in stone.
I would like to make a motion that unless overwhelming circumstances
present themselves (such as what happened regarding our Friday evening
dinner), we close further discussion of any changes to existing items on
the schedule.
Of course, there still are a few open and loose times, and if anybody
has any additional activities they would like to see (and be willing
to help coordinate), they can easily be added.
As I look over the schedule, I see a wide variety of activities at a
wide variety of locations. There is truly something for everybody. As
for the clubs and bars, we're planning to hit all those that are
popular with our group at one time or another over the DLV period.

Well, consider no news to be good news. {Knocking on wood.} Actually,
I'm doing better than expected. If anybody is interested, I'll fill
the group in on the details at DLV.
>You really gave us quite a scare, girl!
Uh, it really gave *ME* quite a scare! :(
>Glad to hear you're going to be able to go!
Yep, assuming nothing tragic happens between now and DLV, I'll most
definitely be there. I'm still not fully up to speed, so I won't be the
party animal this year, but I'll be at most of the things. I can't have
any alcohol until September, but considering what could have happened,
that is a very small price to pay.
