Only 25 days left, gang!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Heads Up:
21-day-in-advance prices expire shortly.
Word on the net is that prices are again very high for walk-ins on the
weekends at many hotels. Please, gang, make a reservation before you
leave home.
Quick check shows rooms are indeed available many places, but several
properties are showing sold out for at least part of the DLV period.
If you have trouble finding a room, or one at a decent price, phone the
Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority at 1-800-332-5333. They will
always know who has rooms available.
As for air fare, many of the lower priced tickets disappear at the 21
day and 14 day marks. Enough said. :)
Yes, yes, there's always priceline.com, but ...

Comments, gang? We do have golf on the calendar for Monday (see above),
but that doesn't rule out other "tournaments". :)

The momentum and concensus seemed to go with Marino this year. We have
it on the schedule for Saturday evening.

The thing about side trips like this, it that they take up most the
daytime, and would probably be best on Monday or Tuesday. It could be
done Saturday or Sunday, but there are other things going on.
We did hear, however, about two closer ghost towns ...
(From the dlvorg list:)

RHPS:
>A question about RHPS... Where is the theater for the midnight show?

It's at the Paradise Cinema on the northwest corner of Tropicana and
Pecos. Best way to get there from the Strip is down Paradise to Trop,
turn left (east) on Trop, and down to Pecos. It's just a bit past
the Goodtimes/Liberace stuff at Spencer St.
>BTW this will be my first RHPS
Ooooohhhhhh, a VIRGIN! Margeth, are you listening?

Well, as we've said before, anything goes as far as dress for RHPS!
And I do mean ANYTHING!
OBTW, the home page for the Las Vegas RHPS cast is at:

I hope nobody minds bypassing the AolSpamFrame. :)

Ok, thanks, Patty, you counting? :)
>Mary Kay makeovers Both myself and Laura are interessted.
Ronnie, you listening? :)
>Hope i did this correct...
Ya sure did. :)

Saturday afternoon:
>>>I vote for Casino Tour, you can go shopping anytime.
>>So far, Strip tour: 2, Shopping: 0
>>Any others?

Ok, looks like we're tied now. Strip: 2 Shopping: 2

Thanks for the hints.
For me, anyway, I have always been able to travel west and BANG, adjust
immediately to the time zone change immediately. Ditto with the fall-
behind DST nonsense. However when I travel east (or do the spring ahead
DST nonsense), I have jetlag for several days no matter how I try to
compensate. They say I'm a night person trapped in the body of a day
person. :)
