And, yet a third opinion on North Las Vegas

Hi,

First of all, I want to thank you for all you've done and for your
newsletters, I find them greatly enjoyable.

Most all of what's on your sites and in your newsletters is very
accurate and informative, except for one thing I mention later.

I don't live in NLV, but not too far from the limit, out off Rancho.
I'm retired, and until recently I had to drive through NLV each day, so
I know it very well.

What you described to a tee is the part of NLV everyone knows, that
between downtown LV and over to Nellis, and along Lake Mead. That's a
tough part of town, and before the kids were grown I always told them to
stay out of there! Not just addicts and hookers but gang-bangers too.
It's to Vegas what Compton is to LA. Your perfectly right to tell CD's
to stay out of there too. No reason to go there, so why chance it.

Parts of NLV are perfectly safe, out toward the north/west there are
even some unbroken desert tracts. And there's all kinds of new housing
development and strip malls. It's a nice place to live. But there's
really nothing for CD's to do here. No reason to go. There's no bars or
night clubs for CD's.

The one thing I do take exception to is the bias you and your friends
have against the LV Lounge. When I go out, that's where I go and I've
never felt unsafe and never had a bad time or a bad drink. I think if
you try it again and give it a chance you will like it.
