Here's the second opinion on North Las Vegas, with very little editing ...
I live in N. Las Vegas and do not find your warnings and comments on "my part of town" correct or accurate. LV, YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET OFF THE BUS IN THOSE AREAS YOU CITED. CASINO COMMENTS: THE CANNERY (E. CRAIG AND LOSEE) IS A VERY NICE AND QUIET CASINO WITH LOOSE SLOTS. THE BUFFET AND RESTAURANTS ARE REASONABLY PRICED HAVE GOOD FOOD. THERE IS A "UNISEX" LAVATORY TO THE RIGHT OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE NEAR THE AMERICAN CAN CLUB COUNTER. THERE ARE OFTEN FREE SHOWS IN "THE CLUB." I WOULD RATE THE CANNERY AS A VERY FRIENDLY AND FUN PLACE. WILDFIRE, SANTA FE AND TEXAS STATIONS: WENT TO EACH TWICE - NO PROBLEMS. ARIZONA CHARLIES: DECATUR AND HAYES (SOUTH OF I 95 AND DECATUR) - OK WITH GOOD SLOTS. (THIS IS NOT REALLY IN N. LV BUT CLOSE TO THE BOARDER). THESE ARE MOSTLY "LOCALS" CASINOS AND AS SUCH HAVE A MUCH BETTER PAYOUT ON SLOTS AND TABLE GAMES AS OPPOSED TO THE STRIP OR DOWNTOWN.
