Ronald Brown (1922 – 2010) was a highly-controversial physician and surgeon who specialized in Sex Reassignment Surgery and other procedures, some of them highly unconventional.

In 1977, Dr. Brown's license to practice medicine was revoked following the death of a patient from a botched SRS procedure.

He moved his practice to Tijuana, Mexico and continued to perform SRS and other procedures. He advertised heavily in LGBT media and eventually on the web. His reputation earned him the "Butcher Brown" nickname.

In 1998, Dr. Brown was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 15 years in prison following a botched elective amputation, performed illegally in a motel room in the United States.
