Gender Identity

Gender Identity is the particular gender (or lack of same), masculine, feminine, or otherwise, with which a person identifies.

This personal identity may or may not conform to the individual’s genitals or other sexual characteristics. It may or may not be congruent with the assigned or assumed sex at birth.
