The term Uranian, used mostly as a noun, was the first documented term that, in some contexts, refers to those whose gender identity was in conflict with the physical anatomy.

In other contexts it could refer to homosexuals, lesbians, bisexuals, intersexuals, etc., and was often used in a positive connotation implying that Uranians were gifted and enlightened.

Unfortunately, in some contexts, the term had other meanings referring to sexual predators and pedophiles.
