The general guideline is to use profanity or other offensive language only when it is absolutely necessary, such as in direct quotes or when documenting terms or events.
If there is doubt, think of whether the terms you wish to use would be allowed in a scripted television broadcast in the US.
We want to keep this Wiki clean and professional.
If it is absolutely necessary to use highly-offensive terms to establish a point (such as the "F-word" and the "N-word"), please use the editorial convention of replacing vowels with asterisks.
