Jahna Steele (1958 - 2008) (born John Matheny, also "Jhoana", "Jahona", "Jahonau") was best known as a Las Vegas showgirl, headliner and cast member of the Crazy Girls troupe, performing at the Riviera Hotel and Casino.
Jahna was from San Antonio, Texas and transitioned prior to pursuing a career in Las Vegas. Jahna's transgender status was unknown to most until she was involuntarily outed on the tabloid television show A Current Affair in 1992.
Jahna was fired from her gig with Crazy Girls following the outing, but maintained a successful career in entertainment until her death.
She died in 2008 from a drug overdose.
