Hi Girls

I attended three DLVs from 2003 through 2005. As I recall,
Carluccios was a highlight event, etiher Friday or Saturday
night. I do not recall seeing it on the 2007 schedule.

If so, what happened. We had a great time there.

Primary reason was complaints, the most significant of which was one
of the wait staff giving one of our senior organizers the sh*t
treatment WRT some medically-advised dietary restrictions.

We did consider Carluccio's for some kind of an ending dinner for
2007, but Elvis' materialized and kind of pushed them out of the
running, since they (Elvis') were popular with several of our local
people and they had entertainment and such.

Now in all fairness to Carluccio's, I've been back there twice
since we last went there with DLV, I took some big-shots from
work there, and I took my brother and one of his friends there
when we both happened to be in town. Everybody raved about it.

I recall refunding this money that year.

I talked to the woman who appeared to be in charge and she mentioned
that yes, you would have had to wait because they were busy getting
out the fifty or so dinners that were ordered at the same time for
our group as well as waiting on the main dining room customers.

Sorry, but basically you can't expect immediate service at a large
group function like that when you arrive late and all the orders
have been put in. I'm sure everyone who was there on time received
timely service.

The last time I went to Carluccios, my friend and I arrived late. We were
told we could still get our dinners. We found a place to sit and waited.
After awhile, we were served a salad and a drink. After that, we waited and
waited and waited and waited. I'm sure you get the point. We firmly but
graciously complained, got our money back, then went to a very nice restaurant at
Paris Las Vegas. We had a great time there. I was not happy about the
attitude put forth towards us at Carluccios. The staff's facial expressions demon
strated somewhat of a nonchalant spirit. I have no desire to go back there.

Regarding Elvis' Restaurant on Sahara, I love the food there. I found it to
possess a wonderful atmosphere along with it's fun entertainment.

I arrived at Carluccio's on time, and I was served in a timely manner. I
think they did a really good job. I found all of the staff to be very
courteous to me.

I didn't find the food at Elvis to be anywhere as good as Carluccios,
and service was not timely in my opinion. I found them to be more
interested in selling drinks as opposed to providing great and timely
food service. Let's find a place with high standards. In my experience,
Carluccio's fits the bill. As far as Elvis, I'll stay home.

Sincerely, joan in very hot LV and burning some more incense.

It's wonderful to have a wonderful event (vacation) such as DLV. When
I'm able to make it, I make the best of it.

Regarding Carluccios', I'll just leave it at that as we could
pettily go on and on about what happened that night. Dayna
and my perspective differed from yours on what happened. I did not
allow that incident to ruin my night. As I mentioned, my friend
(Dayna) and I had fun that night.

Again, DLV is a great event. I have attended conferences such
as Southern Comfort Conference, Be All, Texas T Party (now defunct),
and The Glitz Ball (in Arizona) and non compare to the fun I have
at DLV.
