A new addition to the DLV lineup of activities is Monday afternoon's
roundtable discussion on the topic of:

Contemporary Fashions for Mature Women

Although we have a couple of attendees who are lucky enough to be
in their 20s, and a number who are in their 30s, the majority of
us who will be attending are, like it or not, over 40.

The mature fashion round table will be led by Susan and Kay, who
have a life-time of experience keeping up-to-date and also years
of experience giving fashion and style advice to their daughters
and transgendered partners. The informal format will allow everyone
to contribute to the discussion and ask questions about personal
concerns.

We will address such issues as dressing for the occasion, forgiving
fashions, and styles and colors that can help us remain attractive
and modern. They will also give us ideas for selecting a wardrobe
that allows us different looks for different occasions while staying
within our budgets.

In addition to clothing, our guides will give us makeup tips,
suggestions, and additional resources for the help everyone needs.
Finally we will discuss the crowning touch, hair selection, styling
tips, and resources.

Unfortunately, in the transgendered community even women over 30 tend
to be classified as mature by the 20-something "hotties" and many
others, yet for those of us lucky enough to survive, growing
older is fact of life. As we grow older our bodies change and our
presentations must change with them. Even if we manage to remain well
preserved, fashions change every season and we must constantly update
our look or we become dated; yes even that horrible term "out-of-style"
may apply if we don't. Everyone who is concerned about being the best
is invited to this informal discussion regardless of her chronological
age.

This will happen at 2:30pm on Monday of DLV week. DLV check-in will
be available at this activity. This is also considered to be a very
good beginner activity.

Yes, libations will be available to lubricate the discussion. The
daily Walk Off Your Lunch will conclude at the venue for this
activity. Exact location and directions will appear in the Large
Final Mailing.

Sign-up is requested, but not required, so we can get a rough idea
as to how many will be attending. You can sign up for this at
activity sign-up time, which begins this weekend.

One other note, those fortunate enough to be under 40 will be
welcome too.
