After a bit of Googling I've found a friendly, gay-owned and operated
hair salon. Cache Salon is at 4850 W. Flamingo, at the corner of
Flamingo and Decatur. It's two blocks west of the Rio Hotel and Casino.
702-247-6870. Ask for Joe.

Uh, two blocks???!!!!

More like a mile. :)

Valley View (where Rio is) and Decatur are legacy section roads, one
mile apart.

That's like saying Palace Station is "one block west of the Strip" or
Terribles is "one block east of the Strip" and yes, I've seen ads
saying both. :)

Not trying to come down on ya, I would just hate to see somebody set
out walking it thinking it's just two city blocks away.

Oh, I know what a "block" is in Vegas!

Made that mistake my first time out there, haven't repeated it since!
