Admirer Questions

I am hoping to get some feed back that will either validate my fears or
dispell them. I am considering attending but as an admirer I am a bit
uneasy. Having read the entire site, I understand that admirers are
welcome. I am curious if there tend to be many or just a few?

I am a great guy, good personality, good sense of humor. Would you say
that people are open to admirers and invite them to participate or would
I more than likely end up in the corner by myself on the outsdie looking
in so to speak? Seems like it would be difficult to get that balance I
would want, not too shy, but cetainly not too agressive in wanting to be
included. I would appreciate anything that you could offer on this
subject. Thanks!!

Jeff

Jeff,

I'm not sure about the other gurls but if I see you sitting in a
corner all by your lonesome, I'll ask you if you'd like to join my SO
Dennis and I. We are always open to meeting the interesting, and
very friendly, people who attend Diva.

Yes, admirers are welcome. I say that sincerely both as a
DLV organizer and as an individual.

>I am curious if there tend to be many or just a few?

We've had admirers most years at DLV, but they have been in the
minority.

Demographically speaking, most of our attendees are TG, M to F,
falling somewhere on the TG spectrum.

The largest non-TG group would be female (GG) SOs, and those would
be about 10-15% of the total.

Men (admirers, male SOs, guests, etc.) make up 4-5% or so of the total.

Please don't be discouraged by this, we need more guys! :)

Knowing our people as I do, as long as you're personable and behave
like a gentleman, you'll have no problem fitting in with the group.

If you haven't done so already, please read our Admirers Guide:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/admir1.html

The one major faux pas that an admirer can make is coming on too
strong. There are many variations on this theme, any of which will
make one unwelcome very fast. Speaking very freely, as long as you
avoid coming off like your only reason for being at DLV is to get
your ashes hauled, you should be fine.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions or concerns
or you would like more detail on anything.

Yes, you are very welcome to attend in either boymode,
or ..... boymode. :)

>Would you say that people are open to admirers and invite them to

Your level of participation is entirely up to you. By that, I mean
the majority of DLV attendees are out to have a good time and enjoy
a vacation, and are very inclusive of all friendly faces. Also, at
many activities, having a male(s) in the group can be a big plus.

>I would appreciate anything that you could offer on this subject.

Simply stated: A gentleman, who's actions reflect those of a
gentleman, will be very accepted and appreciated by everyone.

I've attended five DLV's entirely in boymode and have always been
accepted. Sincerely, ANYA.
