Thank you LeeAnna and Rosada.

It's quite frustrating to spend the effort to edit and present this
information only to have it mis-stated and misinterpreted over and
over again.

We have stated countless times that the DLV lineup of activities does
indeed include things where it's perfectly fine to dress trashy and
flashy (if one desires to do so), but the perception somehow persists
that after some kind of a "big crackdown", this is verboten totally.

Most of our dress-related items have now been organized in one
section on the DLV web site. The index to these items is here:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dress/

The introduction speaks very frankly about the general dress
guidelines, or "Dress Code" if you insist on calling it that.

It goes on to discuss how our various activities are classified,
for those who want more detail on that. (This can usually be
skipped quite safely.)

Also included is the collection of dress articles that have appeared
in our mailings over the past several years, all in one place and
reformatted with the linked photos included.

Some new items of particular note include:

* Hints on getting along with the others. This is a discussion on
several things, very thoughtful if practiced, thoughtless if not,
that were mentioned in summary of the past few DLVs, as well as
a few of the issues that have come up frequently since DLV's early
days.

* Dress notes for men. A very short chapter. :)

* K-Y's guide to Etiquette and Comportment. This is probably the
most notable recent addition. It's a very frank and easy-to-digest
discussion about the little things that can be done with very
little effort to enhance one's image and presentation.

* The "Too Natural" look and how to avoid it. This is a particular
"look" that is somewhat common in the TG community, and has been
observed at DLV, but it is one which just does not work.

Please use these resources in the spirit they are intended, and
that is to help everybody have a better time at DLV.
