The cheap seats appear to be going fast

It's still early, but when I found time to check today, the cheap seats
on Southwest seemed to be going fast, especially for the more desirable
flight times. The prices are not likely going to get cheaper so I went
ahead and booked. See you in Las Vegas Sunday afternoon, April 22!

I've been watching air prices, and often times we'll see a dip in prices
just after the first of the year, but this year I'm seeing reasonable
and competitive fares now on most of the airlines that fly to LV from
where I am.

Allegiant has the best fares but their schedule stinks!
Southwest is $92-ish each way, plus tax and nusiance fees of course.
Frontier/Untied/Midwest are all $200+ish RT.
US Air (nee America West, often the cheapest) is $300-ish RT.

A handy site to check is www.farecast.com as they have a quick
comparison of the airlines that serve each route and how the fares
compare, plus a forecast on what they think the fare will do, such as
rise, drop, or stay about the same.
