Does anybody know of a place of to get nails done on Sunday? The place
across the street from Glamour Boutique won't be open and neither will
Glamour Boutique (they just do press on type). I've called around but
haven't had much success. Any help would be most appreciated! Thanks in
advance!

I have made an appointment for Sunday at the Sahara. They are very
pleasant and easy to work with. May spend a fortune while I am there.

What's with the red hats?

I don't know who will get to see this note in time, but if you are over 50,
you may want to pack your red hat and purple outfit. The Red Hat society
will be at the MGM Grand Apr. 24-29 and plan to hold forth most of the week.

I'm thinking when the Art Tour visits Liberace on Thursday afternoon, they
will welcome us with open arms after 3 days of Red Hat mobs.

Anyway, the MGM may offer better people watching than Zingers early in the
week.

I'll be there Tuesday afternoon, save a place at the bar for me!

Just as a point of interest some time ago Mindy contacted the Red Hat
Society for a TG group membership locally and was promptly turned down
so if someone wanted to go over and pee in their tea that would be kind
of a fun thing and would certainly add to DLV lore. lol

Unfortunately on the laptop I'm stuck with Windows.

BSDCon is in Ottawa this year, but I did hear that the Debian Society
is meeting at the Tropicana about the same time the Redhat Society is
meeting at MGM.

{watching this zoom over some people ... <vbfg>}

Whoa! Thanks for pointing that one out... Although I'm a tad shy of the
age indicated I do have a purple scarf with red hats on it if anybody
wants to borrow it. I wasn't planning on bringing it but I'm not done
packing yet. I'll be driving up tomorrow. Perhaps a red boa for us age
challenged will suffice?

I looked at the Red Hat Society website and their convention is June 24 -
26, not April.

Too bad, it would've been fun to crash! They seem like a fun group of gals.

http://www.redhatsociety.com/ explains it all :-)

where, unfortunately, their site says the The Big Deal 2005 in Las
Vegas, Nevada is June 24 - 29.
http://www.redhatsociety.com/events/convention2005/nevada/

However, April 25th is Red Hat Society Day, which is the anniversary of
their founding back in 1998. Individual chapters have their own
celebrations on that single day. Any excuse for a party. There is no
limit on how many chapters a single city can have and Vegas has a bunch:

http://www.redhatsociety.com/searchList.lasso?chapterCity=Las%20Vegas&chapterState=Nevada&chapterCountry=United%20States

Look for them on Monday!!

Well look here! I found a Red Hat Chapter in LV that's looking for
members. Should we all sign up this week?

Chapter Name: Darling Vegas Dollies
Queen Name: Audrey

City: Las Vegas State: Nevada
This chapter is open to new members.

Royal Notes: I'm just starting and looking for some really Daring Vegas
Dollies!!
