The Art Tour has been a regular on the DLV schedule for many years now
and has consistently been well regarded by attendees. This year we will
be returning to the Bellagio Fine Arts Gallery on Tuesday at 2:00 in the
afternoon for their exhibit focused on ancient Japanese Samurai
Warriors, their Armor and life. The web page offers the following:

"Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection will
honor the culture, lifestyle and art of the samurai warrior. Spanning
hundreds of decades of Japanese history, more than 50 pieces of samurai
armor will be on display. Samurai will feature objects that were used
both for combat and ceremonial purposes, conveying the complete story of
the samurai who not only fought in battle, but also practiced poetry and
calligraphy."

The Gallery is located in the Promenade Shops across from the main pool
entrance. Arrive early and take a look at the Conservatory of artistic
plantings and the Chiluly glass ceiling in main lobby of the hotel. The
price is $18 with $2 discounts for Nevada residents or seniors. Each
attendee gets an audio wand with recordings to explain each item.

Parking for the first hour is free, after that it jumps to $9.00 and we
usually take longer than that so consider the options. Parking across
the street in the Planet Hollywood/Balleys Shops and making the walk
(make sure you have your Total Rewards players card); use a Ride Share
service, cab or other public transportation to get there or get a ride
with another art lover.
