Anyone for a show?

Postby Sandie » Mon Feb 08, 2016 3:25 pm

I know there will be much to do during the week, but I wonder if any of you would like to get together as a group to go to one of the shows one evening? I haven't seen this mentioned as a possible activity.

If so, I would wonder what your preferences would be. Personally, I would be open to almost any of them... although I recently went to KA at the MGM (incredible) and Penn and Tellers show at the Rio - although both David Copperfield and Lance Burton suck...I wouldn't spend a dime to see either one of them again.

Anyway, that's my two cents worth. Any ideas or comments? ;)

Although it's not on the schedule yet, there will be (at least) one show one evening, most likely a dinner and show duo. This will be announced as soon as plans are more solid.

However, we're in no way limited to just one show for the week.

If you (or anyone) would like to coordinate a show activity on behalf of DLV, it would qualify you for voting status as a DLV volunteer. If you're interested, please write to: dlvorg@divalas.vegas in order to coordinate efforts.

Thanks.

I just returned from Vegas and went to the Comedy club at Harrah's casino. I have not laughed so hard in a very long time. I highly recommend it and as a group we would be able to swing some 2for1 tickets with no problem. Just a thought.

Thanks Annie. If DLV is already planning a show and evening out, I would be quite happy with that (if it is a show I haven't recently attended, of course).

Also, since this will be my first time to attend DLV, I don't know if I should attempt to be an official volunteer yet. I still have to get my feet wet first (lol).

Steph has a great idea. I am thinking that Sunday night I might do an early dinner (6:30) and then go to Harrah's for the Improv show at 8:30. If we eat someplace close to Harrah's like Flamingo or The Quad little travel would be involved as everything would be easy walking distance.
So are there any arriving early that would be interested in this? The Improv costs $39, and as Steph pointed out, 2 for 1 specials are easy to obtain for the show.
