Activity Highlight: What the heck is the Audrey Tour?

This year's Audrey Tour will begin at 7:00pm on Thursday of DLV week.

Let me start this one out differently, by saying that very seldom, on
our post-event follow-up surveys, does an activity score a perfect 5.0
on BOTH the enjoyment and the comfort scales.

Well, that's what last year's Audrey Tour did! :)

You may be asking yourself words to the effect of what the {heck} is an
Audrey Tour?

It's an low-key yet high-fashion tour of some of the places that Audrey
Hepburn's character, Holly Golightly, might want to do if she were in
Las Vegas for an evening.

We'll visit some of the better lounges and attractions of the Strip from
the Venetian to Paris.

We'll begin the evening with a tour of Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in
the Venetian. (For those not desiring this part, there is a befitting
lounge inside the Venetian Casino in which you can enjoy a beverage.)

We will then proceed, using transportation in the style to which we have
been accustomed, to various other nicer facilities in the central Strip
area. We'll stop for dinner at a place appropriate to the character and
class of the evening. As before, those not wishing to dine may sip the
beverage of choice at an appropriate lounge.

At the end of the Tour we will meet up with the rest of the DLV gang at
the Cabaret Lounge for Dancing At Paris.

No reservation needed. This is no sign-up, just show up. Meet at the
entrance to Madame Tussaud's at the Venetian at 7:00pm sharp.

How much does it cost? Audrey would say that if you need to ask how much
it is, you can't afford it, but for those of you who are curious, it
will be your museum admission, your share of transportation, any
beverages and food you consume, and, of course, your share of the
gratuities.

As for dress, Little Black Dress is suggested, but anything from nice
casual to (mainstream) formal will be fine. Classy, not trashy please.
No costumes, face masks, or sluty/fetish outfits at this activity. No
cats allowed, please.

The weather report from Up The River is for clear skies, temperatures in
the high 70s, and snow flurries expected this weekend in New Orleans.

JoAnn remarked last night that she will have a whole stack of discount coupons for the Wax Museum. :)
