Airplane luggage

Hi Brenda.

My first and "only" exposure to air travel with femme stuff in my
luggage was last DLV 2003 and it went like this.

Scared but determined I flew alone and had the added pain of customs to
contend with. As expected I was directed to the private area to discuss
what I was carrying in my suitcase and the gung Ho suitcase searcher
asked me to open the case which produced my private stuff for him and
his partner to Peruse.

"What are these?" he asked, so after clearing my throat I replied
with a new found courage I didn't know I had until then. " They are
breast forms". He said "what are they for"? Resisting the temptation
to be sarcastic for fear of being sent home in disgrace I said, "I wear
them along with the clothes you see" He didn't empty the case but
searched it thoroughly and was neither polite nor carefull when
searching but I was sent on my merry way none the worse for wear.

I carried the metal jewelry in a carry on bag along with the cell phone
charger to avoid the suitcase search which happened anyway, and when the
x ray checker asked if it was jewelry that she had seen, I confirmed
this and she said "OK off you go". It wasn't quite the harrowing
experience I had expected it to be and am ready to face it once more so
I can do DLV again.

The moral of the story is DLV was a great experience and well worth the
10 minutes of discomfort at the airport check in.

Take care and happy landings.

Kate.

Good Morning,

Have flown a number of times en Femme; including R/T to Las Vegas and
Last Year's HEF in Denver. Flying back home, was one of a few people in
a skirt w/ Heels. My roomate at HEF and I both cleared

Denver's security check with no problem and got very few looks; other
than possibly being overdressed in skirts.

In talking to one person in Denver about the experience (who travels
quiet a lot en femme); she says that when asked which she would rather
have search her, she says it doesn't matter and appreciates the job they
are doing.

Walking through security and past the gate clerk take some poise and
confidence, but when sitting wiating for the plane, I don't think - gee
everybody is looking at me...

Tootsye,

I'm so glad you signed up for Night of the Soiled Doves. I'm sure you
will look fabulous in your micro mini, strapless top and spike heels.

I thought i would proffer my comments concerning transport of luggage to
and from DLV. For those who are concerned about bringing your luggage
on the airlines there is always the ground shipping option.

Many hotels for a small fee will accept packages and hold them, and also
ship them back out for you. Most of the large hotels here in LV have
business centers that deal with this on a frequent basis.

The least expensive methods to ship your clothes and shoes are though
UPS or FedEx Ground. These shipments usually take several business days
to travel. For a higher fee there are overnight, two and three day
services offered. If you must ship your beloved outfits with much
urgency there is next day a.m. service and even Saturday delivery
offered through FedEx, and i believe also through UPS.

In my opinion I would stick to shipping only clothing and shoes through
these services. Certain kinds of cosmetics could be considered hazardous
materials and special requirements may apply. I am not an expert of
shipping such items but the cargo companies do have people who could
provide answers to your questions.

www.fedex.com 1-800-463-3339
www.ups.com 1-800-742-5877

Hope this helps, from ANYA here in LV.

Aerosol cans? There may be special rules involved with that. Be sure to
check with the airline BEFORE you go.

Hope this helps, from ANYA here in LV.

Hi All,

Gina needs to put her two cents in. First of all, be proud of who you are
and who cares what anyone thinks of what you have in your luggage. Second,
don't worry about the TSA people, trust me they've seen it all, and even if
they do mind or even care, back to rule 1, who cares what a rent-a-cop
thinks.

My biggest anxiety is figuring out how to leave work, then get changed and
then go to the airport. The timing may force me to travel in boy drag,
yuck!

Love ya,

Gina
