Ah-hah! You can't wait to get your lips around a glass of Galiano, can
you?

Yes, the Galiano Challenge<tm> will go on as planned. Maybe you'll do
better this time.

Let the truth be known...if you add up the total number of shots of
Galliano consumed during all years of DLV, Annie has had more than all
of the other participants combined.

...and she still can't tell it from a vodka sour.

As much as I do not like to admit it, Galiano {sic} has become part of
the DLV tradition. Those of you who have never tried this will certainly
have the opportunity to do so, and to see others do it too. :)

If you don't know what Galiano is ...

From the never-to-be-published book on DLV Folklore:

4. Galiano

Galiano {sic} is a very nasty substance. I've been told that it is
commonly used as a jet fuel additive and an industrial degreaser. The
taste (and the effect) of Galiano can be approximated by a 50/50 mix of
vodka and Robitussin. (Kids, don't try this at home, adults, don't try
this anywhere.) Most people know Galiano {sic} as the key ingredient in
a Harvey Wallbanger and a Golden Cadillac.

Uh, I wouldn't be so sure. Remember that Margeth drinks it voluntarily
and regularly -- and straight. {ick!}

Well, that drink that SOMEBODY got me last year had so little booze in
it that I actually sobered up from it.

Yes, I know that you, Tony, Other Annie, and probably several others
have played "get Annie to drink Galiano" a number of times over the
years. :)

Oh well {sigh} I guess it wouldn't be DLV without Galiano, huh?

See how much fun we have at DLV! :)

> Jeez, wouldn't embalming fluid at least taste better?

Having worked with formalin (primary component in modern embalming
fluid) in a past life, I would say it's a tough choice. Not that I've
tasted formalin, that is. :)

Yes YOU! :) But as I've said, it had so little of anything in it that I
could have consumed 20 or so and touched my nose and recited the
alphabet backwards and such! :)
