Does anyone know which course the DLV Golf Tournament will be held on,
what day and time, and the expected green fees? Any info would help.
Thanks! Tawni

Here's the golf information, from the announcement list a few weeks back:

Mindy writes:

The 2004 Diva Las Vegas Invitational Golf Tournament will be played at
Desert Rose Golf Course located at 5483 Clubhouse Dr. (you can find the
directions on map quest).

Cost per player is $65.00 and includes, greens fees, cart fees, range
balls, and contests. The entry fee is non refundable but is
transferable. Each entrant is requested to bring a prize. It need not
be expensive or of a golf nature. Fess must be paid one week in advance
unless arrangements are made with the tournament director.

Tee time is 9 am. Plan to arrive by 8:30 for cart assignments, range
time and tee prizes.

There will be refresment carts on the course with drinks and snacks at
the usual golf course cost. Please remember to make a modest tip to the
cart personel as we have a great relationship with the people at the
course and wish to keep it this way. The course does not allow any
outside beverages or food. If you must have your favorite scotch with
you please keep it well hidden and bribe me with a shot.

You must supply your own clubs or rent from the clubhouse. No sharing
of a set of clubs is allowed according to course rules. Only 2 players
per cart and only 2 bags per cart. All players will use carts.

The format will be stroke play with no handicap adjustment. The Rules
of Golf will apply with the following exceptions.

1. In the event a group falls one half hole behind they will require
short or errant shots to be picked up and dropped within one clublength
of any other players corresponding shot with a one stroke penality.

2. Struggling golfers may elect to allow one shot per each nine to be
played by any member of their group. Struggling golfer to be defined as
anyone who is 10 or more storkes behind the low score in their group.
Any golfer may also pick up and drop within one clublength of another
players corresponding shot with a one stroke penality at anytime.

Dress will be fem approiate golf attire. No short shorts, no thin strap
halter tops. Exceptions may be requested for SO's or non TG guests.
Requests for exceptions must be received by the tournament directior at
least one week prior to the event. The course is a spikeless course and
low impact sports shoes are allowed.

All play will be from the front (ladies) tees.

We will try to arrange for you to play with your friends. Please note
in your sign up if you have a preferance of playing partners. I am
already set with a cart partner however the 2nd cart in my group is
still up for grabs.

Handicap carts. I will be playing with a handicap flag on my cart due
to some health problems. If you have a medical need for a handicap flag
on your cart please let me know ASAP.

Bathrooms. Out on the course use either one. In the clubhouse if you
use the fem facilities please use fem decorum. Last year we had one or
more players stand and pee in the womens bathroom and we almost got a
future ban on the fem facilities at the course. We are playing as
ladies please act as ladies.

Ok enough rules. Now for the fun stuff. Since it is a shotgun start we
should all finish up pretty close to the same time.

We will have a short awards and drinks get together in the clubhouse
following the round. If everybody brings a prize every one will get a
prize. Prizes will be by a blind draw so you could have the worst round
and the best prize. I am working on donations for prizes for long
drive, long putt, closet to pin, low score, high score and maybe some
mystery prizes.

Of course the tiera is up for grabs for low score this year. If you
know of a biz that would like to donate a special prize to the event
please have them contact me. We are also looking for tee prizes and
group prizes. Again we do not expect donations from players for these
but again if you know of a biz that would like to donate then get them
in touch with me.

We would also like to have a couple of non players out on the course to
take photos. If it works out I may be able to arrange for a cart for
the paparatzi LOL. Others who would just like to watch the tournament
can be there for the tee offs and the finish and for a small fee rent a
cart to follow along.

If all goes well as it has in the past we should be done with the golf
and the after golf activities by around 2:30 or 3 leaving plenty of time
to get ready for the major events on thursday night.

The above subject to change with weather attitude and gas prices LOL.
