Activity Highlight-Whats Your Fantasy?!?!

Hi Valorie,Yeah, it's the same here. Traveling in a small travel trailer
from Tucson, Arizona prevents us from bringing a lot of equipment. I do
have my laptop which has a lot of my music on it. So If they give us
the okay it can be plugged in and one of us, or both of us, can be in
charge of playing them. Of corse, that would all depend on the labor and
union restrictions in Nevada as you state. Well, I have no wife and
Dennis is my SO. We both do the mobile DJ and we mostly do private
parties and some events. Dennis is more the computer davy of the two of
us. I just help him set up and play the music and look pretty. Lol!! I'm
sure he would be glad to share notes with you. Just come up and ask him.
He's not selfish with sharing what he knows. We don't have a karaoke
machine but we should think about getting one some day. That would make
us more marketable. As far as costumes, I really don't have "costumes"
but will probably wear something appropriate fro the evening.

Activity Highlight-Whats Your Fantasy?!?!

As I understand it the "kings of the Hustler" club is the Gentleman's
club next door to the Erotic Museum. Is that correct? Do we drive past
the club (which i believe is the same street the Artisan Hotel is on)
and turn into the next that access road you mention to the right of the
gentleman's club. Take this access road all the way to the back. Is this
correct?

No, it's way south of that vicinity. Here is the map to the correct location:

http://maps.google.com/maps?q=6007+Dean ... +Vegas,+NV

This and all other activity locations will be on the main activity map which will be sent out with the Large Final Mailing on Wednesday.

Does that mean we can send in requests ahead of time :?: Or even during :?:
How about karaoke tracks :?: I think I will bring some of mine on a flash drive in both MP4 and MP3/CDG formats (just in case). :)

If there are requests for general music for the evening, I can pass them on to the DJ. Right now my preference is for 70s/80s rock with a touch of glamour and fabulousness.

If you still want to be in the show, please let me know before hand and send me either the karaoke track or the original song. I would prefer email, but if you want to give me a thumb drive or CD at DLV, I will make that work too. While you can always make requests from the DJ, there is no same day signup for the show. This is not just any open karaoke but a show with a lineup. I can not guarantee that we will have a karaoke machine, so try to know your words.

So far we have:
Vivian - Adele's "Make you feel my love"
Nicole - "Sharp dressed man", "Johnny b Good"
Rachel - Pink's "Raise your glass"
Valorie - Caro Emerald's "Coming back as a man", No Doubt "I'm just a girl"

Linda, Vera, what songs do you want to do? How about Wonderland Express?

Remember, you don't need to be intimidated. This is a private event surrounded by all our DLV friends. This is your time to live your fantasy, be a star.

Here's a suggestion for anyone looking for ideas: Google cosplay
You'll get oogles of ideas from movie characters, sci-fi, drag queens & etc.

PS - Thanks, Valorie for doing a great job on this event!!

I agree, but I'd really enjoy some 60s and late 50s as well.

Well, I know the words to most of my songs, but I like to have them available in case I have a Rick Perry moment (similar to a senior moment) which is very possible if not likely. I guess the songs I know best would be "All the Small Things" by Blink 182 and "Honky Tonk Women" by The Rolling Stones. I have both of these in MP4 and in MP3+G formats which I can give you on a flash drive. A karaoke machine is not necessary to play MP4 files, just a PC with a program like VLC Media Player, which is what I practice with at home. If necessary, I can bring an extra monitor. If I see you Sunday at "Karaoke with Shiela" or at the "Blue Ox", I can give you the flash drive then.

I can arrange for a laptop to show the words, I just can't guarantee it will be hooked into the sound system. Updated lineup (not yet in order):

Vivian - Adele's "Make you feel my love"
Nicole - ZZ Top's "Sharp dressed man", Chuck Berry's "Johnny b Good"
Rachel - Pink's "Raise your glass", Shania Twain's "Man I Feel Like a Woman"
Valorie - Caro Emerald's "Coming back as a man", No Doubt "I'm just a girl"
Linda - Blink 182 - "All the Small Things", Rolling Stones - "Honky Tonk Woman"

I assume Linda, Nicole need a live mike (ie real singing) with a backing karaoke track. I think Vivian and I are lip-sync/dance. Rachel are you singing live or lip-sync? Any preference about order, I don't mind going first.
