Where do most people stay?

I understand there is not a host hotel. However, I am wondering where
most of the girls stay. I would like to stay where there are several
girls staying.

We have a number of suggested hotels this year, and rather than repeat
the list, here is the URL for all kinds of info about them:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/dlv2004/2004hotels.html

As with last year, it appears that our two largest contingents will be
at the Sahara and the San Remo.

I will be staying at the Sahara for the 4th year in a row for DLV. It's
not as lush as the Bellagio, but it's quite nice and has good food and
a fun casino. Only problem I've had there is I got stuck in the elevator
one night for about an hour with 5 total strangers. :( I'm sure that's
an isolated incident.

I've also stayed at the IP before, but not for DLV. Again, not the
Bellagio, but quite comfortable. We've had DLV people stay there every
year since 1997.

I'm sure others will add comments about the hotels as well.

I've stayed at the Imperial Palace which has the advantage of being
centrally located on the Strip but the disadvantage of being fairly
shabby and rundown. The rooms are on the level of a Ramada / Super 8
motel. If you don't have a vehicle, it's in close proximity to a lot of
the major hotels and casinos.

I've also stayed at the Sahara, which is in slightly better shape than
the IP (think Hampton Inn / Best Western level), but is near the
northern end of the strip. If you have a vehicle, the garage is easily
accessible and you'll be able to drive around the strip quite easily.
You also can go right out a side door to the garage without having to
go through the casino if you are skittish about going through the
casino while dressed.

Neither is any great shakes as far as accommodations go (keep in mind
that in my job I spend about 100 nights a years in hotels) but since
you're likely only to be sleeping, showering and changing in your room
either one will do. The deciding factors will likely be price and what
access you want to non-DLV activities around town.

I'm renting a car and will be staying at the Sahara.

I was wondering... it was in a older org posting, has there been any
follow-up of a possible bridal shower/reception that was proposed? This
was proposed shortly after dlv03 had concluded.
