I see this term on many emails about DLV functions. Please let me know
what it means.

Thanks,
Rita

The short version is that Ginger, one of our volunteers, will be
host(essing) an informal lunch at the Sahara Buffet each weekday during
DLV. If Ginger for some reason is not able to be there, we will have a
temporary alternate hostess, and in that case it will be without Ginger.

This started last year when Tina did more or less the same thing and we
had our daily Brunch With Tina. One day Tina was not gonna be there so I
put Brunch Without Tina on the schedule.

Rita,

Lunch with or without Ginger will be in the Sahara Buffet which has
reasonable prices, good food variety, reasonable quality, and most
importantly great fellowship of other DLV attendees. I'm mostly a
vegetarian, but meat and potato types will not be disappointed either. I
particularly like the salad bar with what may be the best selection of
prepared fresh citrus fruit anywhere and in the dry desert climate it's
a wonderful way to get rehydrated.

The buffet is also a great place to meet and talk with other DLV people
without the distractions and interferences of the typical club
atmosphere where we usually gather.

Look for the DLV sign on the table. If you are a little late come anyway
and we'll make room for you. As for what to wear, it's always very
casual and boy mode is OK if you haven't recovered enough from the
previous evening to be presentable otherwise or whatever!

By the way, I'm Ginger and I expect to be there every day and hope you
will too!

Ginger
