Hi Y'all,

This is Rosada boning up on her Southern drawl. Anyway, I just wanted
to add my 2 cents worth and say to the girls attending DLV for the
first time that when I attended my first DLV I was scared shitless. But
thank goodness for my Big Sister Mindy, who with her wittiness and her
very cool demeanor, was able to help me relax and not be so nervous or
scared or self-conscious.

These new girls are gonna have to not cave in to their fear or
embarrassment of coming out into public view. Even those "gals" who
don't pass are just going to have to grab themselves by the cajones and
march, or get in line, or use the elevator, or go to the bathroom. If
you don't they will never acquire that confidence it takes to go out
into the open.

Let me tell you, not all GG's are beautiful, I've seen some pretty
scaggy ones in my time, yeah even in Las Vegas, and they have no
problem going into the ladies' restroom or into an elevator or standing
in a line. And if they can do that, well gosh darn, there's no reason
why we can't. I guess it all comes down to attitude and confidence.
Also a knowledge of appropriate dress, make-up application and
mannerisms. Heck, some of our DLV people look and act better than some
real GG's. Not to toot my own horn, but I have been told by some that I
have it down pat. For a relatively new DLV attendee, I Rosada, take
that as a compliment when a real GG tells me that I look real good or
that they wish they could look as good as me. I think the biggest asset
I have is my confidence and attitude.

A word of advice: If anyone looks at you funny or snickers at you, you
can either 1. shrink in the "smell" of fear/embarrassment, which cruel
and insensitive people can pick up on real fast or 2. look them
straight in the eye, smile confidently and proudly, and give them a
nice greeting. I sure hope the DLV organizers try their darnest to
match these new attendees with the more seasoned attendees. It made one
hell of a difference for me. Now, go get your head straight on, work on
building that confidence in yourself and develop a positive attitude.
It not going to happen overnight. You have several months until DLV 04,
so now is a good time to start, if you haven't already started. Girls,
go out there and "knock 'em dead!" You can do it.

Love to you all,

Rosada

Um...if you're going to grab yourself by the cajones in the ladies'
room, make sure you're in a stall.
