When I first came saw this web page about Diva LV it sounded like fun. I
thought it would be a good time to come out for my first time. After
reading all the negative letters, I have decided to look for an event
that has a positive attitude about it.

Ladies, stop the bitching and stand up like a man and wear that dress
with pride.

Actually Rita,

DLV IS fun! The core group that attend are very fun and enjoyable
people. You might want to reconsider. The discussion here is by no means
an interlude to what the actual event is like.

Uh, if you haven't noticed, bitching is the official sport of the t*
community. While t-girls typically eschew football and basketball,
bitching is the competitive art of choice. A team from some of the
midwest t* groups is practicing to take gold at the 2004 Olympics and
has a very good chance of doing so.

But seriously, take a better look around at this site and the photos
from DLV 1997 thru DLV 2003. Be sure to note all the smiling faces.

Dear Sister,

As one of the members of the DLVOrg Group, I can assure you DLV is fun.
As a first time sister coming out, I would still encourage you to come
out. Unlike other more structured transgendered conventions like
Southern Comfort, BeAll, Fall Harvest, and the Colorado Gold Rush, we
are a unique group that enjoys meeting new sisters like yourself as
well as meeting a wonderful group of sisters all in the faith of
sisterhood and letting our hair down and enjoying each others company
and meeting new friends, some of which, as I've found from my now 4th
year at DLV net year, will become lifelong friends.

The purpose of DLVDisc is for anyone to share their feelings and
suggestions about various venues about future DLVs. That plain and
simple. Don't take anything said in the DLVDisc group rock solid. We
have a great group of sisters that are members of the DLVOrg committee
to see that YOU and other first time and veteran sisters have a
wonderful transgendered vacation :)

If you have any further concerns, please feel free to email me at
leggitv@aol.com.

Please reconsider your decision, for DLV is a very positive experience.

Huggs,
Monique Danielle Monet

Densie,

Thanks for getting back to me. This sounds like a great time. One
hesitation that I have is that I most likely would travel alone and not
know anyone. Any suggestions on accommodations etc. Any other info is
appreciated.

Thanks Again

It must be. I've done six of them now and I keep coming back.

A Vegas vacation is always fun. Some of us do most of the activities,
some go out on their own, some just come for the late-night activities
and get sloshed. Some of us try to combine (1) and (3).

It's a vacation! All we ask is that you make a reasonable effort to
attend the activities that you sign up for, because the organizers have
to know how many are coming. You can do as few or as many as you want.

There are a few rules, but they are only there to protect those who want
to blend in and not draw attention to themselves. Despite some of the
heated discussions you've heard in the mail group, we all get along very
well.

And, of course, we always have the freedom to form smaller groups and do
things that may not fit into the general guidelines. (hint hint).

Ours is a very easy-going group. Even though you may not know anybody
beforehand, you will be among friends. :)

>Any suggestions on accommodations etc.

We'll be announcing our yearly suggested hotels around the first of
December. Our people have stayed about everywhere there is to stay in
LV. Many of the hotels where DLV people have stayed appear on the Big
List at:

You might want to look over the DLV FAQ on line at:

http://www.geekbabe.com/dlv/faq/

This answers many of the common questions (and some uncommon ones) about
DLV. Also look over the pages from the past several years to get a good
idea of what goes on.

You can see some of the attendee profiles and photos at:
