The DLV 2010 registration page will not be on line for a few
more months. From the FAQ:

+FAQ entry 2.01:

+How do I register and does it cost anything to register?

+General registration for DLV 2010 will open around March 1. You may
+register on line on the web, or via e-mail.

+See our mailings for pre-registration and re-registration options.

+There is no cost to register. See section 8 (costs) in this FAQ.

There's still time to get in on things. The best thing to do is to
review the list archives to get up to speed. They are on line on
the web at:

I looked at the web site last night and it said to register but I
couldn't find a registration page.

Am I missing something? I will admit my laptop blue screened me
twice last night but I can usually navigate rather easily in web
sites.

Thanks for any help.

Art Tour schedule options

Postby External Poster » Fri Oct 30, 2009 12:34 pm

I'm thinking of a possible change to the Art/Museum tour and would like
some feedback if possible.

This activity has been going on for several years and normally has a
pretty good turn out in the morning, but scheduling seems to fall apart
by the afternoon session, resulting in less than half of the morning
attendees making it to the afternoon session. I'd like to abandon the
afternoon session unless there is an outcry against such a move.

Since we don't have a lot of daytime activities, other than golf and
occasional organized shopping events, and there are a wealth of options
in Las Vegas maybe we can look at doing a couple of daytime tours,
limited to one a day. If this works, each activity could feather into
one of the planned lunch events and then free the group to get ready for
their early evening or night time activity.

Does this sound like an option for those who would like to do a little
more daytime, mainstream things?

Since I can't guarantee that I'd be able to do more than one day, I will
offer to help on other days if we had enough volunteers (as usual).

Hi Sarah,

I think that's a great idea.=A0 Sometimes in the past I've wanted to go
to the afternoon session, but there was always a scheduling conflict or
I just needed prep time for the evening.

Sarah Charles--

Yes, I think you are on a good idea--- we have tried to expand the day
and there seems to be issues against doing such.

So, a morning "touring" from 10am to 1pm" --whether one or two venues
subject to the group wanting to go to venue #2 at the end of the Tour
#1with lunch following at 1pm might be the best of "all worlds".

Also agree that this event should only take only one slot in the calendar!

What about a late afternoon tour on a day when there is'nt much
happening in the morning.

That should give enough to time dress early afternoon and be good for
the rest of the night.

We could try a morning and late afternoon tour on different days.

The new City Center is going to have outdoor and indoor exhibits that we
should check out for sure.

Theartsfactory.com is another option thats alot of fun, with less public
exposure also.

What about a late afternoon tour at City Center, dinner at the new Hard
Rock across the street and then dancing at Paris just up the Blvd less
than a block!
