Just finished watching an interesting show on TLC called Sex Change. It
covered the transition of several girls along with the different surgery
each under went and many of the problems, they faced along the way. They
also talked about a study of the brain that may show what causes some to
feel they are the wrong gender.

If anyone is interested in seeing this program, it is going to air again
on TLC, Mar. 29 at 4:00 pm et/pt.

It was a most fascinating show, except the stuff in the operating room
made me really queasy.

I'd take it all with a grain of salt, as these documentaries never
cover what happens years later, when you wonder what the hell you could
have been thinking.

Densie,

The one thing I love about you is that you are grounded in reality with
a great since of humor .... and except for a few rumored incidents with
something called Galiano and an exotic chicken dish called "la Rubbero
de Cluck" ....................... :+)

Hugs, LeeAnna

Jennifer in Omaha May 2 - 4 (was Re: Sex Change on TLC)

Jennifer is a very well-known jazz bass player who has played regularly
with Doc Severinsen for years. In fact, Doc Severinsen (and Jennifer!!)
will be playing in Omaha with the Omaha Symphony on May 2,3, and 4, per
Jennifer's Web site. Lucky Annie and friends have the opportunity to
see her play live.

Doc Severinsen still actively plays all over the country, so Jennifer
has an extremely full performing schedule posed on her Web site for all
of 2003 with Doc and others, so she'll be in a city near many of us
sometime this year.

Thanks Cat for bringing this to our attention.

Hugs,

-- Tina

Thanks, Tina. Unfortunately those of us who are staying over for "that
other conference" will not be able to take this in.

Cat had crossposted her original on this to the RCGA list as well, and I
hope you will not mind that I just took the liberty of forwarding your
note over there as well, since it does have local significance.
