Hi,

I was just wondering what the dress will be for this event? Are they
doing the Old Southern Bell costume or is it more modern casual wear?

Hope to hear from you soon and I'm really looking forward to attending.

We're gonna have a blurb about this activity in the upcoming general
mailing this weekend, but ...

Dress for the SBS Garden Party can be just about anything from very
casual to moderately dressy, depending on your style and your mood at
the time. If you've wanted someplace to go in a dressy daytime outfit,
this is it. Swimwear will be ok too, but the pool is expected to be cold
in April.

Even though this activity is co-sponsored by DLV and the Southern Belle
Society (www.southernbellesociety.com), I'm unaware of any planned
antebellum theme.

And we're looking forward to having you with us.

There is no specific dress code for the SBS Garden Party.

I know a few sisters will be wearing vintage Victorian/Belle dresses
for the event. Most sisters that attend SBS socials, esp. a daytime
social, dresses from casual to dressy. I myself plan on wearing an
upscale business daywear type outfit.

Look forward to seeing you at the SBS Garden Party :)

Lorraine,

To me it was FUN! An afternoon get together at one of the sisters house
in her back yard around the swimming pool! It was a chance to wear
comfortable casual clothes in a relaxed atmosphere, eat munchies and
visit with friends. It was also a very good photo oportunity.

I highly recommend it!

But, I have not found a Diva event that I didn't enjoy! giggle!

Hugs,
Tootsye

A picture (or many of them) is worth a thousand words.

It's a LOT of fun! (As are most of the DLV activities. :)

Well, I was sure one of the SBS people would jump in on this one but it
looks like it ain't gonna happen.

SBS stands for Southern Belle Society, which is a social organization
that is co-sponsor of the Garden Party.

For more info on SBS, you can look them up on the web:

Thanks to whomever sent this off in reply....I'm a Southern Belle
Society sister and a co-organizer with Mindy to have our 2nd SBS Garden
Party during DLV'04. I apologize for replying faster - I'm on the
planning committee for Colorado Gold Rush 2004 and we're in major
crunch mode with CGR'04 5 weeks away - so my attentions have been
elsewhere.

Also the same apologies to the DLVOrg group - for the same reasons
stated above. I'll get back to ya'll very quickly, hopefully in time
for the next DLVOrg Wednesday mailing.

<sigh>
