My guess is that it's a Total Rewards casino rate, and a rate better than I qualify for.

I just tried it for Harrah's, in on Sunday, out on Saturday. I got $380 going in cold, not logged in to Total Rewards. If I log in (I am not a big player) I do get a slightly lower rate, but nothing close to $132.

Now, when I extend the stay for a Sunday check-out, it zooms up to just over $500 for the street rate.

The past few years, however, I've been beating the Total Rewards rates (at least those I qualify for) by booking through our corporate Travel department. The corporate rates (which we are allowed to use for personal travel) don't have as much of a differential between weekday and weekend rates as do the street rates or the Total Rewards casino rates. (At some properties, corporate rates often, but not always, can get you out of those pesky "resort fees" which add significantly to the bottom line.)

The same agent got me an unbelievably-low rate last month at the Hilton Garden Inn in Chicago for Pinkfest. It was actually lower than the Hampton Inn where I usually stay!

I really don't know where I'll stay this coming year. Unless something else really great comes along, I'll probably be at one of the CET mid-Strip places.

In re-reading Beverly's note, I see the following:

> I was comped FIVE nights! I am only paying for the weekend (Friday and Saturday)
> at $66 each of those nights. The rest of the week is FREE.

LOL, I'm not enough of a High Roller to get that deal! :)

Re: DLV Hotel rates 2013

I am flying on Allegiant Air out of Cedar Rapids. Previously when I returned home I had a 6:00 am return flight. Last year I just stayed up all night and saved the cost of a room on Saturday night. Allegiant has now changed the flights to later in the day so I leave LV at 2:30pm. The only bad part of that is that going out to Vegas I don't arrive until 9:s0 at night so I will miss all of the Sunday afternoon/evening activities. Guess nothing is perfect.
In regards to my hotel bookings, I did book through the Total Rewards club website. I am a member but not have not played that much on it so I can't believe I am getting any special deals. Looking at the website today I see that Imperial Palace/The Quad is offering even cheaper nights through March. They haven't listed the deals for the DLV time period yet. It might be worth joining Total Rewards as there is no cost and you might 'qualify' for the great deals.

Hi Gang.
I will likely be staying at Harrahs for most or all of the week too. If not there then the Imperial / Quad.
Don't forget to pencil in Katie's Koffe Korner on your calendars or appointment books! **Wink**.

I just booked at Bally's for Sunday thru Friday for $0. I also could have gotten Harrah's for the same, If there's more people staying at Harrahs, I'll probably switch it.

You must certainly play quite a bit more than I do! :) $0 ????? :)

I've stayed at Bally's for the last two DLVs and I don't have any
complaints.

Well, one maybe. The coffee shop is not open in the wee hours and I
often times like an early breakfast when I finally get in. There are
quite a few places nearby, so it's really NBD.

Bally's is an easy walk to about anything in the area.
