a night at the old ballpark

i realized far in advance that friday night's DLV schedule did not
really appeal to me, so, well beforehand, i used "ticketmaster/e-mail
the ticket" (avoids both box-office, & ID-at-will-call) for an admission
to Cashman Field & the LV 51's* baseball game (AAA Pacific Coast League)
starting at 7:11 pm.

a $9 ticket seated me exactly where i wanted, & parking was only $3. (&
BTW, i much prefer MiLB to MLB, prices notwithstanding.) [Find the
field; it really is "downtown."] i had no problems at all, including
parking, getting through the gates, asking a few questions, obtaining a
scorecard, finding my seat, enjoying the game AS ELIESE.

i'm not suggesting this as a "group activity"; the 51's may be on the
road 2008 dlv week; the descent of a crew of (alien) CDs might tax
general credulity if seated together; eliese had been out only 10 months
at the time (& never to a baseball game) ...
