I've found MAC makeup artists to be the most helpful in that
regard (basic face). Just ask Yvonne. I "dragged" her up to
the MAC counter in some store in LV at a DLV several years ago.
The MAC girl was utterly charming to us.
Their company slogan is something like, "any race, any sex,
any age".
They're very cool about working on t-girls. Their products are
a little pricy, but very good quality (e.g., I've been using
the same set of MAC makeup brushes bought 10 years in NYC at MAC
Pro store on average of 3 times per week since then without
replacement - still as good as new).
For next year, you might considering calling the MAC store in
LV (was in the shopping mall attached to Bellagio, IIRC) about
6 weeks before DLV and getting some names from them.
Just a thought.
