Thanks, everybody! Great event!

Thanks to all who attended and participated. I think this was the most enjoyable Pinkfest of all times.

I particularly enjoyed meeting those I had not previously met. Hope to see everyone again next year or even (shameless plug) at Diva Las Vegas next spring. :)

The food was excellent! Not a bad or even so-so meal at all! Everything was great. We saw two great shows too. I particularly enjoyed the Million Dollar Quartet!

Weather was nice. Hotel was very nice as usual. No issues at all. Well ... {blush} Ginger will probably never let me forget my "street acrobatics" after missing that first step late Saturday. No cuts, no bruises, except to the ego. :(

Only disappointment was that I really wish more of those who contacted us in the days leading up to Pinkfest would have joined us. It was really a great gang we had this year, and everybody was welcoming and friendly.

See everyone next year! (If not next March.) Thanks again. :)

I think you would have a bigger turnout if we could understand what is
going on. I had time off not from Chicago. But didn't find website very
helpful. Went to Milwaukee and partied there.

SCC event everything and then some is on there website same with
keystone. If people are confused when looking why go and be more
confused.

Maybe next year I will try again.

Marcy, I'm a little confused what information you were not able to
obtain from the website and the discussions leading up to Pinkfest.

>From that website I was able to see what hotels people were staying at,
I was able to find out what activities were going on during the daytime,
I was able to find out where people were meeting for meals, and I was
able to find out what entertainment was available in the evening, and
how to get around Chicago.

So I'm confused as to what you were unable to find out about Pinkfest
and what were you able to find out about milwaukee that wasn't available
on a website like Pinkfest's. Please let us know what you thought was
lacking.

Maybe next year I will be able to attend Pinkfest and I can help show
you around Chicago.

Beverly

What kind of a turnout did you have?

If anyone is interested in attending Pinkfest, the best way to get the detailed info is by RSVPing by email: pinkfest@geekbabe.com. Annie can get you on the mailing list which provides a wealth of information, just like DLV.

I'm very concerned about any impressions that the web site may be ineffective. In May of 2013 I and a friend put quite a bit of time into revamping the Pinkfest pages and making sure they were complete and accurate. These new pages plus the discussion forum should have given you more than enough information.

If there's anything that is missing, I need to know what, specifically, is missing.

There may also be a basic misunderstanding here. Pinkfest and SCC/Keystone are two totally different things. SCC and Keystone are TG conventions based upon the familiar model used for most of those.

Pinkfest is a shared vacation, and this is clearly stated on the introductory page:

"Pinkfest, like Diva Las Vegas, is a vacation and not a convention as Pinkfest, like DLV, is not based on the model used for most of the other recurring TG events."

I'm sorry if you or anyone got the wrong impression. I would like to hear, specifically, what information is missing from the web site or subject to misunderstanding.

Hi Anne

I have tried to register 2 times and nothing happens. I don't mean to
sound mean, I am not like that.

I looked the pinkfest site over again. To me it looks like a tourist
page for thing to do if your a TG or Cd.

It has all these places where i can go. But no where did I find events
like where everyone was going to meet or a club.

It had several places or venders to visit. I learned more on Facebook
with the things that were going on.

I just started CD 2 years ago. I want to meet others. At SCC 90% of the
people stayed in one big hotel I met new people every time i turned
around.

When I looked at the web page for Pinkfest I think it had 3 hotels and
100s of venders to visit, this is nice but I think every time I come to
Chicago dressed up I could call it a pinkfest.

Help me what am I missing?

Marci

In my opinion, your site is very clear and you are exceptionally
helpful, warm & welcoming to everyone.

When you say "register", do you mean register for the event, which is done via e-mail, or register for the on-line forum (MyDLV)?

> Help me what am I missing?

I'm currently going back through logs and correspondence, reconstructing the chain of events, in order to see why you apparently fell out of the loop here.
