Here is the preliminary schedule. Feedback is encouraged. In a couple
of weeks I will send out the final schedule. Detailed information will
also be sent out at that time.

Thursday, October 4:
2:00 - 6:00: p.m. Open House at Janna's
6:30 p.m. Happy Half Hour at Winberies (Oak Park)
7:00 p.m. Dinner at Winberie's
9ish A drink at the Hideaway
10:30ish Partying at Hunters Dance Club

Friday, October 5:
12:00 a.m. Lunch at Ed Debivics (Chicago)
6:30 p.m. Happy half hour at Gino's East
7:00 p.m. Dinner at Gino's East
9ish: Gentry on State (maybe)

Saturday, October 6:
12:00 noon: Lunch at Hard Rock Cafe
Afternoon - Open house at Rachel's Wigs
6:30 p.m.: Happy half-hour
7:00 p.m.: Dinner (Ann Sathers)
9ish: Boystown Bars

Sunday, October 7:
1:00 p.m. Lunch at Maggiano's Little Italy (Chicago)
Late Afternoon: Farewell Dinner at the Chop House

I switched the suburban outing to Thursday, in part accommodate Janna's
preference to have her open house on Thursday. Winberies has very good
American food and great service. The Nubush, where Pinkfest has gone in
previous years, is closed. :( I am suggesting we go to a new bar (for
Pinkfest), the Hideaway. The Hideaway is a short drive from
Winberie's. The first floor is quieter and is a good place to talk.
The second floor features male dancers and a large dance. Later we can
go to Hunters, a large gay nightclub in the NW suburbs. It is one of
the few places which has a decent sized crowd on Thursday night.

Friday lunch will be a Ed Debevics, a Pinkfest favorite. Ed's has
intentionally rude wait staff and campy dance numbers. They serve
standard american food. Gino's East, just north of downtown Chicago,
has very good deep dish pizza along with other Italian dishes. Gentry
on State has live entertainment with someone playing piano and singing.
On Friday night we are relatively close to the Baton which has very good
drag shows. If people are interested, the Baton can be added.

Saturday lunch will be at the Hard Rock Cafe, also just north of
downtown Chicago. It has good food and lots of Rock and Roll
memorabilia. I have penciled in Rachel's Wigs open house on Saturday.
I think Saturday is best for their open house, Friday would also be
fine. Dinner is at Ann Sather's on Belmont in Chicago. They have
consistently good food (Swedish & American). They were also very
accommodating last year with our large and constantly changing head
count. Happy hour is BYOB with Ann Sathers supplying mixers. After
dinner, there are a number of good gay bars in Boystown within walking
distance from Ann Sathers.

Sunday lunch is at Maggiano's Little Italy just north of Downtown
Chicago. They serve very generous portions of Italian food. The
farewell dinner is at the Chop House, a very good but expensive steak
place.

I have not included day time outings in the preliminary schedule. In
past years, there has been little interest in daytime outings even
though there is a lot to do in Chicago. If there is anyone interested,
let me know. I have possible suggestions.

I am sorry about getting this out a little late. Please let me know
what you all think of the preliminary schedule.

Just remember, you asked for it. :) :) :)

> Thursday, October 4:
> 2:00 - 6:00: p.m. Open House at Janna's

My only concern about doing Janna's on Thursday is a
possible low turnout, since that's the day the
out-of-towners (such as me) tend to arrive. If my
plane is on time and I don't have any trouble checking
in on time I can probably make it, but it is a
concern.

The rest of Thursday looks good to me.

Actually, Friday looks good to me too. :)

And, Saturday looks good too. :) :)

>Late Afternoon: Farewell Dinner at the Chop House

We might wanna take a preliminary headcount on this,
since two of the others who I know to be CCH fans are
leaving on Sunday and probably can't make it.

Other than a few very picky concerns, I think it looks
great. Thanks. I am looking forward ... :)

The Hideaway is at 7301 W. Roosevelt (one block west of Harlem). It is
about 1-2 miles further from Winberies than Nutbush was.
