Angela Marie Borges 11/22/1941 - 4/19/2014

Angela was born in Pleasanton CA and attended Amador high school.

Upon graduating high school Angie enlisted in the Navy, she was a aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam war. She then went to work for Peterbilt motors and retired with them.

Angela was very active in the t-girl community in the Sacramento - Stockton area and enjoyed her friends and life there, but there was more that she needed and had to fulfill. In 2000 Angela went to Thailand and finalized her goal to be what she truly was. Upon returning home she sold her house in Stockton and moved to Washington state where she bought a small home in the woods of the Olympic mountains. Angela's life was quiet and secluded there, unlike her life in California; she found peace and happiness there.

In 2002 Angela decided to visit a friend in Portland, Oregon where there was a plan to go out to a local club with a bunch of local girls. Everyone met at her friend's home before leaving, this is where Angie met Keri; they were inseparable that night and for the next 12 years. Angela kept her home but moved in with Keri, they shared everything and were literally soul mates. Angela enjoyed traveling and helping other girls with support and advice, her and Keri were regulars every year at DLV for a decade.

She loved her animals and the outdoors and was an avid motorcycle rider going to Sturgis many times with Keri.

Angela & Keri got very ill at DLV in 2014 and she was not able to recover, she passed away peacefully at home in Keri's arms the day before Easter.
Keri's Eulogy to Angie:

Angela is a fighter, a dreamer, my partner, my sister, my best friend, and a mother to Cole. She is my source of confidence, encouragement, and my source of strength. She taught me the importance of living and to face life's challenges bravely. For 12 years she was my pillar and my partner. Now that she is gone, I feel half of my life & soul has gone with her. But I am very thankful that she passed away peacefully and happy. As I go on the journey of my life, I always know that Angie will still be with me. My defender, my partner, and my best friend forever. Four weeks ago while going through her items I found a poem she had wrote prior to me meeting her. Angie described in verse the pain she had in her heart for not being able to share her heart, to not be able to give and receive love and happiness; it was a very dark time for her. In 2002 Angie met me then our son, everything in life that she did not have prior was fulfilled, her heart had the love and sharing that she always dreamed of, yes Angie, they do go hand in hand, thank you for showing us that! Life has to, and will go on without her, I truly miss her everyday but I know that she's there watching over me. This experience has helped me see that death is not something to be scared about, but something to look forward to. It's about living life to the fullest and being the best that you can be.

Dignity & respect Angie - I love you! ~Keri

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girlfriend is never farther away than needing her. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you, or come in and carry you out.

Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, mothers, grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins and extended family all bless our life.

When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead, nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day, we need each other still.
