Hello,
A few girls have inquired about taking a tour of Hoover Dam
itself, perhaps after the noon-2pm Lake Mead Boat Tour. Okay... this is
not a DLV event, but you can do it on your own if you wish, and I offer
the following information in case anyone wants to do it.
Simply drive east on Rt.93 from Boulder City (about 4 miles from the
lake cruise area) to Hoover Dam, and park in the NV-side parking garage
($7). Visitor Center is $8, Powerplant Tour is $11, and the internal Dam
Tour is $30.
Visiting hours are 9am-6pm.

Note that Rt.93 traffic up to and over the dam can be very slow,
especially at "rush hour" and weekends. Go at your own risk.
