It depends on which tower you stay in.

I've stayed at the Sahara many times, on both business and
pleasure trips and I know the property very well.

First, there are two taxi pick-up points at the Sahara. One is
up front, right in the rotunda by the west side, main entrance.

The other is at the Paradise entrance, toward the southeast
side of the property. This is the one which you can get to
with minimal exposure from any of the three towers.

If you're a bit shy of the casino crowd, the best tower to
stay in is the Tunis Tower, which is the shortest and the
oldest of the three. You can exit with virtually no exposure
to any crowded areas from the Tunis Tower by just turning
left when you get off the elevators. This puts you outside
between the pool area and the west parking garage. Taxi
stand is out and to your left down a sidewalk.

The Tangiers Tower is the newest tower, on the very east
side of the property. You can get to the taxi stand from
the Tangiers tower without touching the casino. However,
the most obvious path goes right by the sports book, the
row of shops, and the bell desk. If you're shy of this,
you can easily duck out the tour bus entrance and walk
around the building to the taxi stand.

The only tower where avoiding the casino crowd may be a
challenge is the Alexandria Tower. The elevators let you
out right at the east end of the main casino. The "safest"
path to a taxi from the Alexandria Tower is along the east
wall of the casino by the bar and a coffee place. You will
have to traverse a well-traveled lobby area by the
registration desk.

Another suggestion might be to hook up with any of our
people who are staying at the Sahara who have a vehicle.

Hope this helps. :)
