Between now and DLV, each (most) weeks we will feature one of our
activities in detail.

This week we feature our Wednesday evening Eating Out Night and
Mainstream-Alternative Night.

This will be a two-part evening, and there will be some variation
on the theme depending on the options you choose.

The first big part is dinner, in smaller groups, at any of several
locations. Each location will have a volunteer host or hostess.

There will be a Happy Hour associated with most of these.

You may choose from a variety of restaurants for Eating Out Night
Dinner. There will be at least one very casual and inexpensive option,
and at least one very "safe" option. All are known to be good. :)

After dinner, a number of activities will be available. Some of these
are very "Mainstream", meaning that the DLV people will be attending
just as members of the general public will be, and others are noted
"Alternative" meaning they are of special interest to some of those
in our community and/or in more secluded venues.

As of this date (schedule is still under development), we have the
following choices for evening activities:

* Alternative Bar Crawl. Join us for an evening of barhopping and
socializing as we check out a number of LV's well known and not so
well known bars and clubs.

* Slot Tournament. A local bar and grill is hosting a Slot Tournament
for DLV, following dinner. Prizes will be awarded.

* Theater Night. An evening at the theater. Stay tuned for further
information on this option.

* Fremont Street Experience. Join the DLV group for the light show,
gaming, and socializing under the canopy in downtown Las Vegas.
. . . . .

Some of these options will be no-sign-up-just-show-up, some will be
sign-up requested so we can get an approximate headcount, and some will
require an advance sign-up and a commitment to attend. See notes on
dining and after-dinner activity options at activity sign-up time.

Dress: This will vary from activity to activity. Unless otherwise
specified, anything from non-grungy casual to moderately dressy,
either boymode or girlmode, will be fine. The Alternative Bar Crawl
will be very liberal as far as dress is concerned.

A list of eating out options and after-dinner options, along with more
specific dress suggestions for each, will appear in the large final
mailing that is sent to registered attendees in April.
