Hey Annie, there you are!
Yep, sorta.
That was me, doing the legwork re: RHPS for DLV 2006. Now I'm talking
about RHPS for DLV 2007.
I just saw the poster, and used what I remembered to find the web site
for divine decadence. I haven't been to the SF Center yet, so I can't
really say what they have in terms of equipment. Perhaps it's a DVD
player and a projector, I simply don't know.
Now some of us here do know divine decadence and therefore have
understanding of how they add to the show with on stage in front of
screen antics, costumes, lip sincs, etc.
I wondered about the "Transylvanina Theatre" because with that name it
seems that RHPS might be the only film it ever shows.
However I must protest a certain generality, because I don't deserve that
much credit: I contacted the one theatre in Las Vegas that was known to me
to be the site for RHPS and was the site where I had attended RHPS during
DLV 2005. The owner there was quite clear in his communication about why he
wouldn't have Divine Decadence or RHPS back in his theatre. His problem is
he feels he was disrespected, and the RHPS offering was not profitable for
his theatre. He also wants to make his theatre a family place, and found
that RHPS was contrary to that desire.
He is not, however, representative of all the theatres in town, at least
because I haven't contacted any of them. So I can't vouch for every theatre
not wanting to touch RHPS with either Kowzatski or a 10 foot pole.
Kowzatski is a 7'1" Pole, by the way...
Hugs,
